Dhoni's injury and Super Kings campaign

How bad will this injury to Dhoni affect the team’s chances in the tournament? Will the sudden injury end IPL Season 3 campaign of Chennai Super Kings?
This would be the uppermost question on the minds of Super Kings fans. The pessimistic lot would have already written off the chances of the team. Even the optimistic ones may not expect Chennai Super Kings faring well against Delhi Daredevils, the pre-tournament favorites.
But I believe Chennai Super Kings still have a lot of talent left in them to overhaul Delhi Daredevils. Here are the reasons:
1. Pitch - As seen in the match against Mumbai Indians, the match against Chennai Super Kings would also be in batsman friendly conditions. With Daredevils without Vettori, Chennai Super Kings bowling is the stronger unit on paper.
2. Hayden an Raina – Hayden is expected to come good for thed team sooner rather than later. Remember the Delhi pitch provides a perfect opportunity to showcase his devastating influence with the Mongoose bat. We can also expect a more responsible innings from the stand-in captain.
3. It happens most of the times in other sports that after the sudden departure of star player, the team does well. (Psychologists attribute this to the other team members rising up and acting as a team). Personally, I am expecting players like Vijay, Parthiv, Kemp, standing up and showing their potential
4. Our Chennai Super Kings have already done it in the past. While the critics wrote off Chennai Super Kings after the departure of Hayden, Hussey and Oram in the season 1, the team ended up as the runners-up.
I have no doubts that the team will win the match against Daredevils. Only worry is how Raina would fare as a captain. Hope the team comes up with a performance that not only reinforces my belief but also showcases its potential to the other teams.

Ya, rightly said robin, even in some news channels people were telling without dhoni who will be dare of chennai superkings. According to the other teams as well as their fans csk without msd will be meek and weak and shall be easily beaten.
But, I still believe that our csk team will catchup and play to their potential and try to win every possible matches. I think since parthiv is playing either mukund or badani will be included in place of vijay ofcourse that will be the right thing to consilidate the middle order in the absence of msd.
Eventhough match against delhi would be tough it will be very tougher against mumbai indians ( see their team combination). Let us hope with the advice from msd raina will do better in marshalling the resources.
