Needs analysis is the genesis of performance improvement. It is the foundation and sets the direction for a player to achieve his goal by focussing on their game and overcome their flaws. Bottom line, if a player doesn’t begin his performance improvement with a clear, approved-by-consensus objective, his efforts are not going to succeed.

Some of our talented CSK players certainly require some analysis on their own games. I am sure Vijay's fans would certainly be upset, especially the way he has thrown his wicket away after getting off to a decent start in atleast 4 out of 7 matches played so far. Our shooting star Raina is slowly coming back to his old terms. He did show glimpses of form in the game against Pune. Let's all hope he strikes consistent form soon. For him to achieve that, he needs to spend some valuable time at the crease.

Same is the case with Albie. His performance so far has been as fickle as the UK weather. Even though he has bowled well in a couple of matches, he is yet to strike form with his clean hitting.

They say that continual improvement is an unending journey. How well it has come true with Badri's case! He has now become a T-20 revelation and an important cog in CSK team's journey to win the IPL-4 edition.

Even though Dougie bowled well in the game against Pune, my MoM was Badri simply because of the way he executed his shots with ease and perfection. I would like to see Badri coming at number three for the very fact that he is easily is the man on song.

In this edition of IPL so far, leg-spinners have really played a key role in restricting the batsmen. It won't be a bad idea to give a chance to Plessis who is both handy with the bat as well as his useful leg breaks. Who knows if he strikes form with the ball, then that would render a good balance to our team.

We have more offies in our team. Even though Jakati is our lone left-arm spin bowler, playing du Plessis would definitely offer that extra bit variety in spin department.

A man who is constantly engaged in action and works hard until he has achieved his goal undergoes lots of metamorphosis and positive change which helps in his self improvement. Even though our CSK stars have proven in the past, their immediate goal should be to focus on the second league of games coming up and continue to do well to get into the final frontier.
