It took a couple of days for me to convince myself from the bashing we received at the hands of NSW. Here I am again for

one last time this year blogging for Team CSK. Wish I had our captain's mindset when he mentioned that the early exit was a blessing in disguise.

To me a good fan should also be a honest critic. Having said this,I thought I will provide a sincere feedback as to how our players performed in this edition and what they could have done better.

Hussey - I will give him a 7 on 10. He did start off well and was the only consistent performer for our team. The reason I gave him

7 and not 9 is, apart from the first game where he stayed till the end, considering the splendid form he was in, he should have

anchored till the end in our game against Cape Cobras and NSW. I believe this early exit should give him the much needed valuable time to catch up with his family (to say a hi) before he starts off on the South African tour.

Vijay - Our Victory Vijay was a complete disappointment. His scores read as 8,14,6,17. Forget about me commenting. One thing for sure, he would not have been happy with his own performance. I will give him a 2 on 10. My sincere wish is Vijay should find his form soon in the coming domestic matches and if only he gets lucky enough to play in the land Down Under, Vijay should make sure that he starts performing well even in overseas conditions.

Raina - Wonder Boy Raina, what can I say about him? He was a kind of mixed bag hit by the fatigue bug. More than the amount of cricket he has played of late, he needs his mother's food and rest at home to get charged again. I will give him a 4 on 10.

Badri - Cricket is a cruel game, how well was Badri timing his shots in this year's IPL especially in the matches that we played at Chepauk and his recent form has been awful, struggling to hit and most importantly rotate strike. He needs a good domestic season to entertain any thoughts of getting into our Indian eleven. Honestly if you ask me, he is one cricketer who needs to be given a fair chance to perform at the National Level.

MSD (Off-late) - Master Stressed and Down. Whole world knows what he has achieved, same world also knows that he deserves a big rest.Ideally he is better off taking a break till India tours Down Under this year. It won't be fair on me to comment on my hero's performance as he has many more left in him to achieve for both TEAM INDIA and TEAM CSK. As for his performance, I will give him a 2 on 10 because rarely has he failed to inspire as a player, but he wasn't sure what he had to do when he was at the crease.

Bravo - I will easily give him a 6 on 10 as our only win in this CLT-20 edition is courtesy, him. His batting has been a great plus, but probably can get a bit economical while bowling.

Ashwin - Easily our best bowler. I will give him a 8 on 10 eventhough he went for a few runs in the last match. Well done Ashwin, keep rocking.

Albie - If he had come early against T&T,he would have been the Cooper for our team. He can still improve on his bowling. I will give him a 5 on 10.

Saha - Frittered away very good chances with single digit scores. Completely disappointing. His fielding was good. For that,I will give him a 2 on 10.

Dougie - Got a lovely gift from his NSW mate ATOM BOMB Warner,so he should not be really disappointed. I am sure Dougie will give it back to Warner soon. I will give him a 5 on 10, probably Dougie can avoid leaking too many runs.

Jakati - Complete flop apart from his bowling display against T&T. He should look to get better, I am sure this Goan will.I will give him a 3 on 10.

The reason I have titled my blog as FIRST and LAST is because, this is the FIRST time I am seeing my CSK team not qualify for the knock-out stages, be it in the IPL or CLT-20. As a CSK fan, I also hope that this is one LAST time my team has failed to qualify for the knock-out stages.

Last but not the least, all the very best to MSD & Co when they tour DOWN UNDER. For a change, I can get to see them rocking at least. I have booked my tickets for the matches they are playing in Sydney. Can't wait for that. Take care all.
