FORTRESS BREACHED AND EXPOSED

Well tried my dear CSK Team?

Guess what folks? If you ask me to speak to truth, we as a team let ourselves down and did not really try hard for various reasons and the key standout reason being fatigue to our key players. Now you folks would understand why my first liner was a question mark.

Indeed, it was a disappointing outing for our team and that too we lost a very good advantage of capitalizing and exploiting our

home conditions. Even though the home conditions were a bit alien according to many, I would still reckon, MAC wicket still

had the same formula of being a slow, low wicket. It is just that the technique of our players and very importantly their mindsets

was found wanting.

Don't tell me that MSD did a Ghajini (short-term memory loss) in forgetting his big shots when Albie was able to smack a couple in the game against T & T. Cricket is a mind game, but unfortunately all the eleven minds did not sink and the result "EARLY EXIT".

Talking about mindset, there is a huge difference in having a thirst to win and a quest to rest. Every time Usain bolt runs the 100m he is expected to win. Not even Nostradamus would have predicted that he would have a false start at recent World Athletics Championship and get disqualified, same with our Team CSK in this CLT-20 2011, where it has bamboozled everyone by not even qualifying for the knock-out stages.

Hang on folks, I am not complaining. All I am doing is emphasizing the fact that our team has set an excellent reputation and benchmark in the past. When I mean past, it was not so long ago like the 1942 (A Love Story), I am just referring 5 months back, 28 May 2011 when we lifted our IPL. In a span of 5 months, our fortress has been exposed enough.

We hardly have 5 more months for IPL 2012 and I am hoping for our team to recoup and get back their act better. How much time they will have, to first rest and then recoup is as good as Kaunbanega Crore-pathi 5 crore mark question?

Losing to Mumbai did not do our confidence any good. They say that first impression is the best impression. We forgot to impress and the rest that followed were a express of defeats sans the match against Cobras, courtesy BRAVE BRAVO act. We did have our chances against Mumbai and T & T, if all went well, rest would have been history instead of mystery.

On a final honest note, what I would like to convey our CSK players is, it is time we stop basking in our old glories and treat every edition of CLT-20s and IPLs as a new CHAPTER in our lives and look for ways to improve and succeed.

I also have one final advice, let that be for TEAM INDIA or TEAM CSK, we need eleven fit players who are really ready and raring to go, and that should be enforced as a primary rule and reputation of a player should only come secondary especially when today's T-20 competitions are as fast paced like a horse race. I wish our team rises back as REAL STEEL.

Good Luck in your coming ventures - This is one last message from me to all the CSK players, sincere bloggers and true CSK fans and supporters.
